Frequently Asked Questions
Glass splashbacks are generally more hygienic than tiles because the flat surface does not allow food particles to become lodged as can be the case with tiles.
All the walls need to be reasonably level and free of any protractions but small holes are okay. In some cases, due to location of gas cooktops, they may require a fire resistant material behind splashback. Other than the requirements for gas, your splashback can be installed over most surfaces including tiles, fibro and gyprock.
When you have your plans, bring them in for a quote. Your kitchen needs to be fully installed before Headland Glass can measure your splashbacks. Once made, your toughened splashback cannot be drilled, cut down or altered. Headland Glass ensures a final accurate measurement is taken after bench tops, range hoods and power points have been installed and all relevant architraves and skirting is in place.
Glass splashbacks are modern and hygienic and cleaning is easy. Warm soapy water will remove greasy splatter and you can also use glass cleaner to keep your splashbacks looking sparkling clean.
